Man Machine was awesome. The power of the tune. You can't dance to that stuff. You can only let your body soak it up. I agree with the other mailer who said that many of the tunes lacked umpfhh due to the digitization of the sound. But the visuals and minimalist set more than make up for this. TEE must have been spellbinding for those who have never heard this monster of a track live No one has mentioned the encore situation. I went to both shows on Thursday and the sets were identical. The continuous set runs until TEE/Metal on Metal then the curtain draws. After the usual hurrahs, claps and cries of "More!" the curtain goes up, NUMBERS kicks in but, oh no, what's this? No Kraftwerk? Ah, don't worry here they come - onto the stage with the help of a Zimmer frame and a few walking sticks. Numbers blends into a breathtaking COMPUTERWELT, the text caption bathing the auditorium in a swathe of green light. Again, can't dance just rooted to the spot in total totemic worship. As some old tosser screams out "Play Kometenmelodie" his stoned croaky voice gets totally wiped out by the first BOING which then surges into a fucking loud and powerful MUSIQUE NON STOP. This really did it for me, the sub-sonics were excellent. Deep rich bass. The really sad thing is, this is truly incredible music to dance to. It's a real shame people were not writhing and jacking their bodies to this. the Fade out to Music Non Stop was ultra-cool as the other mailer said. Each member abandoning his post after having tweeked a few more knobs leaving Ralf to walk off in an almost blase manner. The video to Expo 200o provided a wonderful backdrop to the four band members and was a real visual treat. Tour De France was crisp and the French crowd appreciated hearing their own language One Irish guy shouted "When are you going to play in Ireland, kratwerk" Yes, the audience where so well mannered and quiet you could pick up anything mmmm
