There is an interview of Ralph HÜTTER on the edition of the french review "les inrockuptibles" of this week.
Thanks for the info, so I'm checking by myself!
It had been made during the french concerts in september. I can try to make a translation, even if it contains nothing really new.
... ... indeed: nothing really new!
Quickly, what we can discover : - The band is still (still !) at work, all day long (Cycling ?) - They finished to compute all the old tapes.
Of course as we know, for the concerts now, all the K' sounds are inside the laptop computers (mainly virtual synth instruments...) but what Ralf meant: they have finished to REMASTER their old recordings... :-) ( so why not soon ...all the albums reissued in remastered editions - like the "Tour de France" single in 1999 - ??? )
The first 3 records would be re-issued nextly (no date)
mmhh... (if they have been remastered, why not?) Not clear anyway *imo* it's only a ...possibility! ;-)
- Nothing about a new album of course,
Obviously, Ralf didn't want to talk about any new album, and (according to the journalist) he only ...smiled! ;-))
but it seems that there is no problem between the Band and E.M.I., wich have never refused to publish any new material of the group - A live recording can be issued at the end of the 2003 tour (no date either)
Reading this article (which is not a plain interview: no Question/Answer, only comments and [a few] quotations...) *imo* it doesn't seem that any live-album is actually planned. They only think about this hypothesis... as like they did a decade ago around "the Mix"-concert period, talking in interviews about a next following (possible) "the Mix 2" or other new production... so wait and listen... greetings, maybe, perhaps, _ /o o\ Filtre4Pole \ ~ / I I - -
