I'm a dancer, too, but I'd rather be slack jawed and watch a live KW then dance forever to their CD's later :-) Glad you enjoyed the showgram. amir derek wrote:
The really sad thing is, this is truly incredible music to dance to. It's a real shame people were not writhing and jacking their bodies to this.
i jacked. and jacked and jacked. from the first note of the robots to the last note of music non stop. i writhed as well!
fuck those lazy bastards who just stood slack jawed.
the french, i must say, are not big dance enthusiasts. they can let loose if the time and place is right but for the most part they just stand around. boring.
it's a shame that a band who music is made almost entirely for dancing attracts a crowd of geezers who stand and yap while the concert is going.
i saw KW in detroit in 97 and the show was, overall better. i guess like the first time you have sex. unforgettable. the sound in paris was better but the vibe of detroit killed paris 10 times over. so that i think makes a big difference. detroit is a jack town so that helps.
anyway, the gig was amazing. better than 90 percent of things going on these days hands down.
bye, derek...
