I have to say I really don't agree with or understand this view. It seems too... I dunno... anti-progress for lack of a better word. I mean, if a song is great why mummify it? It's like ancestor worship or something. A great song should serve as the branching point for many great covers, remixes and reinterpretations. Honor it by playing with it, not by building a fence around it. Nobody will forget the original, and maybe some of the derivatives will also be great. -- /* Soleil */
