Hello all, Tom, and my very good buddy Oh Jay,

One thing I do know about music (I think, I hope) is that is is highly subjective.  Which means my favorite Kraftwerk song isn't going to be the same as yours.  I could try to convince you all day long, and at the end of the day, 'your' song will hit you in the best way possible, and 'my' song will do it for me.

So to ponder which sex likes Kraftwerk more, less, or the same to me lies on the same pathway:  it's subjective and difficult to get at, and at the end of the day, as far as I'm concerned, you have the music of Kraftwerk to enjoy, and who could ask for anything more?

I think there will be plenty of women at these up-coming shows.  I just wish I could be one of them.  I think too, due to the longevity of Kraftwerk, but also coupled with the fact that they haven't been pumping out albums every year for quite some time, is that it takes a very special fan who is still excited about the band to be talking about them like we are doing here today.  I am always so happy to know that I'm not the only fan who cares, is excited, and still enjoys hearing and discussing their glorious music, even though maybe the mainstream crowd would dismiss them as old news with nothing new to offer.  So male or female fan, let's celebrate these great guys who've given us so much joy!

story about online matchmaking will get some KW in the background. One
day I heard four songs in between pieces on NPR in one day! Autobahn is
constantly heard in the background of traffic reports. There were loads
of women at the last NYC show. And many different nationalities. All age
groups. I think the idea of music appealling to one gender more than
another (except for creepy death-speed metal) is silly. You like what
you like.
