Der Automat, as always thankfully keen on getting the facts right, uttered: September 1998 issue of Debug magazine featured an interview with Komputer, in which they talked about Kraftwerk: "Why is Komputer spelled with a K? A homage to Kraftwerk? 'It simply looks nicer', says David. [...] 'It has nothing to do with Kraftwerk. We don't copy them, they're too lazy. One album in ten years is indiscutable. But maybe we're working on a similar idea.' [...]". Thanks a lot for that Der A, I have no problem writing that off as a joke. "They're too lazy, but we're working on a similar idea." That was supposed to be a joke, or I am sadly mistaken. ...Which, on the other hand, could happen. And while I'm at it, anyone claiming Kraftwerk are too lazy are right for one thing, and obviously you can be inspired by a band although they've produced absolutely bugger all for a decade. Otherwise, this mailing list would have been a rather skinny one...
