Hi all,
If you've got a PPC Amiga and a good gfx card, you simply *must* check
this out:
ftp://ftp.se.scene.org/pub/demos/scene.org/parties/2002/mekkasymposium02/am…
If you're destitute of proper hardware (a PPC Amiga), then you can
download a DivX camcorder capture from a video projector screen
(reasonable quality) of this seven minutes miracle from here:
ftp://ftp.gathering.org/Amidemos/ms.amiga.64k.planet.potion.true.cam.divx.a…
(67.5MB)
The download is worth it, even if you're on a 300 bps modem! :)
So what is it? Why, it's the most impressive audiovisual orgasm that a
*64kB* (sixty-four kilobyte!!) binary has ever produced, a.k.a. the
winning contribution to the latest Mekka Symposium 64kB intro contest.
So why the hell did I post this to the Kraftwerk ML?
Because it's just filled with off topic babble anyway. ;) Nah, the coders
managed to fit some synthesised robotic speech saying e.g. "electronic
music" into those 64kB, as well as a caption saying "korrekt". The electro
beats aren't too bad either...
64kB... I'm speechless.

Greetings from Brazil,

The whole thing finished ages ago.
I find the flame wars rather amusing though, otherwise we discuss the fonts
of Trans Europe Express again

Abrigato for your courage.
Im not going against anyone here, but the reason I, and many others joined was to talk about Kraftwerk not to have an inbox full of email showdowns between a select few.
Yes, keep peace.

I have made my remix of Expo 2000 available again for a short while.. its
very minimal and ambient, kinda trippy. Have a listen..

I quite like the loose floatiness of this -- but have you ever thought of an
ambient remix of Musique Non Stop? Somehow keep the distinctive rhythmic
pulse, but in a really subtle low-key way and segue it on to the end of the
original album version, which I think ends too abruptly and needs a
wind-down coda section IMHO ;-)

Now we know why Kraftwerk haven't been releasing any new music, they have
been lecturing instead! I assume Florian was given the status of professor
on the basis of him being a member of Kraftwerk?? I had no idea of this and
I am sure no-one else did either......
