1. I'll believe it when I see it. 2. Which EMI subsidiary has the title for the US? For "Expo Remix," it was Astralwerks/Caroline/Virgin. It's probably more than likely that Caroline will distribute the title rather than EMM (EMI Music Marketing, formerly EMD) proper because it won't sell millions and millions. > But mainly the time the factories make the CDs, the bigger the > release, the > longer the time. 3. This is not true. CDs are often "bumped," the detestable practice of moving an album's release to a later date repeatedly, so that more pre-release buzz can be generated, which translates into more initial sales (hopefully, on the label's behalf). Sometimes albums are bumped into extinction, without ever being released at all, due to label politics, such as Ras Kass's unreleased 3rd album, "Van Gogh," and the first two albums by the Wu-Tang Clan affiliate group known as Deadly Venoms. Yes, guys, I think it's finally happened! See below the official announcement of EMI to the new Kraftwerk release. We have to know now what kind of material we will have. I contact some friends in england and they told me its difficult to know what to expect. The chances are that as it says it is a 'soundtrack' for the TDF then it may be all instrumental and no songs. Not too sure really. I just hope it is longer than the usual 45 minutes. The single, 'Tour De France 03' is released on 7th July to coincide with the centenary of the Tour de France bicycle race (which this year starts on 5th July) and will be available on CD and 12" vinyl. The album, 'Tour De France' features the all-new recordings of 'Tour De France 03' alongside brand new compositions and a new version of their seminal, electro masterpiece 'Tour De France' from 1983. Kraftwerk are currently working on the final album mix at their Kling Klang studio in DÃ¼sseldorf, with the release scheduled for 21st July, 2003.
