Luca, I totally agree with you. I didn't see at Dirk message any aversion about the fact Mr. Flur took some nude pictures. I totally agree the sexual preferences are a private matter, but, if Flur really posed to an homossexual magazine, it will have a public subject. Anyway, for me is interesting to know all KW members aspects. And posed for an homossexual magazine does not say he is homossexual. We have here in Brazil a magazine called G Magazine, and many straights actors and musicians posed. Including Warren Cucurullo, Duran Duran's guitarrist. If one or all of KW are straights or gays, it doesn't matter to me. But I would like to know the circumstances Mr Flur posed for the magazine. Was it just a photo session or for an interview too? Henning and Fritz need a chance to prove themselves that they can match Karl and Wolfgang. I agree that Karl is a tremendous composer. Some of my favourite KW songs are cowrited by him. IMHO KW wouldn't be the same without Karl contributions as composer. In other hand, Wolfgang is a marvelous musician. Pay attention to fantastic "drum battle" in Numbers. For me, it always looked like a techno samba... Or Homecomputer, one of my favourites drums on KW. I don't remember if in Flur's book he said he was a composer in KW. I partly agree with you, Marcelo, The classical line-up will never have any substitute, but the point is: do KW really need Fritz & Henning, or are they there just to control some buttons? At concerts, Fritz works a lot. Other point is: why are they playing with KW? New subscriber/Kraftwerk on Swedish TV

Hello fellow Kraftwerk fans Despite having been a Kraftwerk fan for the best part of my life, I somehow haven't found this list until now. I'm Swedish by birth but live in England, and a few days ago I heard from a friend in Sweden that there had been a special 30-minute program on Kraftwerk on Swedish TV (which I saw was briefly discussed here). I've now finally got hold of a copy of the program and I would just like to say that I thought it was a very well-made program. Not much in the way of new info, unsurprisingly, even though the interviews with Wolfgang and Karl were obviously specially made for the program and very interesting. Wolfgang gave a much better impression on camera than he did in his book... What really impressed me was that they had everyone from Stockhausen to BjÃ¶rk to Peter Saville (one of the best designers of all time) commenting on Kraftwerk. Peter Saville was saying that Kraftwerk's imagery and design was by far the most important influence for his groundbreaking work with Factory. It seemed they had interviewed a fair number of people for this, just a shame we didn't get to hear more from them. Also included was the footage from, I think, the Showroom Dummies video (correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't managed to get hold of this video) where Kraftwerk is dancing. What a great sight! :) If anyone's interested, I've got the program as an MPEG (300MB though). Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking part in this list as I still take a very active interest in all things Kraftwerk. And please just shout at me if I bring anything up which has already been discussed to death and I'll shut up. Cheers, Erik

While rummaging through old stuff, I found two interesting items: 1) One of my own old business card, autographed on the back by Ralf (Genova concert, "the Mix" tour - I already posted (some years ago) a brief report about the conversation we had that time. 2) The Italian edition of the sheet music for "TEE" - I wonder how many copies were sold. Anyone interested in a scan? BTW one of the lines reads "From station to station - at the Duesseldorf city - meet LepÃ² (!) and David Bowie" - I always thought it said "Iggy Pop"... who is this "LepÃ²"? Ciao, Luca

Been A Long Time!

Well, thanks to a certain Mr. Richard Poolton who kindly reminded me of this list, I found the xmission details on the web and rejoined the list. It's been over three-years since I read any list messages, let alone posted anything. This is manily because I emmigrated from the UK to the USA and have had quite an eventful few years since living here,........but that is another story! So, what is happening? What have I missed these past few years? Let me know people. Craig
