Visit to Bill... what will he think?
I really wish I lived in England, or something, since I will not be able to visit this 'lecture' he will do this way (living in The Netherlands). Anyway, I saw this episode of Suddenly Suzan (sorry) and this 'Star-Wars fan' dude appeared in it, and somehow the thought appeared in my head that all you guys visiting Bill solely for seeing him are actually quite the same :) Don't get me wrong! I would've gone if I were in the neighbourhood, so I'm just as sad. But really, what will he think? All kind of 'arty-farty' and/or 'lectured' people sitting at wooden stools in the hall, then Bill enters them room. He gets his papers ready, clears his throat... Then, suddenly three or four d00dz at the front start chanting 'Mu Mu' softly in the background. Bill is, to say the least, interrupted in his 'flow of things' by this, frowns, looks around, locates these d00dz.... and thinks: " Now, the challenge is up to you... What will Bill think at /that/ exact moment? Let's all give our thoughts :)

At this point I'd like to say I've been going to the clerkenwell literary festival for years. My attendance has nothing to do with bill being there. Nothing at all. (did that sound even the slightest bit convincing? ;)

I think that if you're "into" Drummond you're not just going to be there as an admirer/fanboy of the KLF/JAMs stuff he's done. Some of us actually *liked* his solo album! Just kidding. (well, I did, but it wasn't my point): If you've read any of his books you'll know about his way of thinking. His train of thought is often a runaway one which will, I'm sure, make for an interesting debate, and on God of all things! Don't be afraid to question his position he's managed to climb to in your psyches; he's just a mad Scotsman who knew what to do to get ahead in the music business eleven-odd years ago. Why we all hold him in such high regards I don't know :) Having said that, it's all academic anyway, as there's a tube strike and I'm shit with buses. So unless someone magically sends in detailed descriptions of how to get straight to The Foundry via bus from the Tower Hill area, then I'm screwed! Chances are I'm screwed anyway as the last train to tran... my station, leaves at like 10:30 from London. Chris

if you can get to london bridge station or bank tube station then there are buses from both of them that go to old st jon -- "I'm going to Iowa for an award. It's actually for neither of these reasons. I'm reliant on the tube because I have no bloody idea where I'm going if I walk :) Chris Jonathan Wakely wrote:

As long as there isn't something really wrong with you, I guess you are always going in the direction you are looking at. ;-)
Mum said that if the debate on whether God is a Cunt or not, then it's been won by God for putting on a tube strike. :P Chris Jonathan Wakely wrote:
