In light of Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty's well-known stance against war I have to agree with Mr. Knight and respectfully disagree with Charlie. I suggest having another listen to "America No More" by The Klf. However, if list-members would rather thoughtful discussion on such issues took place elsewhere I will respect that. I think that anti-war rhetoric is actually rather appropriate when it comes to a band who wrote a song for world peace (Que Sera Sera indeed!), another on the title of this thread and contributed to the War Child 'Help' album. However, the 'America bashing' needs to be a bit more focused. After all we have America WTIL, the Chill Out and White Room OST dreams of the US highways and Jimi Hendrix sampled all over! I think most of us are perhaps anti US government policy, but I doubt anyone on this list is anti US (counter) culture, which informed so much of what Bill and Jimi did. Just thought it was useful to make that distinction :o) Good night America, we love you. Del
I say get it off the list. Especially when FTP posts are causing enough divisiveness. I was once kicked off this list in about 1994 because my sig was longer than 4 lines. There's more than enough KLF stuff for us to get irritated towards each other about than having to resort to political guilt penis measuring contests. jr
hi all, ----- Original Message -----
From: "Jeremiah Rickert" I say get it off the list.
please all - its not something we need on list surely? all it'll achieve is pissing ppl off and divisions between people. cant we just all agree to disagree? if you really feel the need to debate it, goto a newgroup somewhere or the 2600.au list even (full of war vs !war currently). if you need instructions to find these things, email me offlist.
Especially when FTP posts are causing enough divisiveness.
i especially second this!

and ppl say i'm harsh *L* i've learnt to let that one slide cos its like trying to keep the tide out with a shovel. that must have been when lazlo was still active? what did he do for top posting and not trimming replies? trying hard to keep my views on GulfWar2 to myself, brendan ps - just cos i like my current sig (& its 4 lines) ******************************************* Bad command.
