I was recently having an off-list discussion with a list member about the Blue Man Group's use of LTTT as the finale to their live shows. For those outside the US, BMG is a performance art "experience" currently appearing in Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston and, for at least 13 years now, in New York. They've been using LTTT since I first saw them in 1991 and am happy to see they are STILL using it. Anyway, my point here is that I was just checking out the Blue Man Library's video section (which I haven't visited in quite a while) and was pleased to see a Tonight Show appearance featuring the LTTT segment of the show. You can see it here: http://www.bluemanlibrary.com/tonightshow.htm or more directly, here: http://www.chi-town.net/bluemanlibrary/leno_4_a.rm 12.5mb download. I would also recommend the paint ball and marshmellow bit (my personal fav) http://www.chi-town.net/bluemanlibrary/bmg6.rm 14.1mb And then of course there's the Grammy's performance with Moby and Jill Scott but I could go on forever about these guys... -paul
I just bought the new album and I was very disappointed in it. It sounds "sold Out" wit vocals from Dave Matthews and Gavin Rosedale. It is not at like their first album in the ways of musical instrumentation and performance. Other people tell me what you think. Well, Blue Man Group isn't really supposed to be a "band" to be listened to persay, It's all about the shows and performance. So I can excuse a bad album, beucase it isn't about the music. /me is waiting for a new show in Boston. Seen "pipes" about 6 times (and it gets better every time!) -- . \ ` ' / . ._` __^__ '_. I wonder if they ever tour through Denver? 2: If somebody rips the LLTC they can put it on my FTP. I have the 1st album on my ftp and I will move a copy to the KLF Folder for everyone!! Sorry if this sounds really stupid but are they the same Blue Man Group who featured in a series of TV adverts for Intel last year?
