Re: 3 AM Eternal: Live at S.S.L.
Since it wasn't a "live" recording
None of the "Stadium House" records are "live" (in the same way that the first side of "The White Room" isn't "live" either). I sometimes wonder if "What Time is Love (Live at the Land of Oz)" is actually a studio recording too ... The back sleeve of "Chill Out" says it was recorded "live" at Trancentral, although I think that means all the samples, keyboard-playing etc. was recorded straight to the DAT in Jimmy's squat in one forty-five minute session. An impressive feat nonetheless! On the other hand, I did read somewhere (I think it was the magazine that came free with the Orb-featuring 1993 "Trance Europe Express" compilation CD) that "What Time is Love (Live at Trancentral)" was actually based on a live performance the KLF had done at a party in the summer of 1990, and elements of that - real - live performance appear in the finished single. Curiouser and curiouser ... John Not Scots, just Scott-ish
I think in one of the info sheets there was mentioned that WTIL (Live at Trancentral) was based upon a jam-session that The KLF had with some friends (MC Bello among them). So I guess that´s where the "Live at Trancentral" add-on originated from. -- +++ GMX - Mail, Messaging & more http://www.gmx.net +++ Bitte lächeln! Fotogalerie online mit GMX ohne eigene Homepage!
