I love this one. The insult *berk* has become a fairly unoffensive general-purpose insult, similar to prat, jerk, dolt, idiot, etc. What most people don't know is that *berk* is rhyming slang, with berk being short for Berkeley, as used in the phrase *Berkeley Hunt*, the *disguised* meaning of berk, is a word that rhymes with *Hunt*, which I'm sure you'll be able to guess without my help. ohiggins@tds.net wrote:
