KLF samples spotted
I can't help but notice a KLF-sampled piece of music in this track: Artist: Andrea Parker CD: DJ Kicks Track: 5: A remix of "Desire" by artist "69" I don't know if anyone knows this track, but at the very end (exactly 03:30) it starts using a lot of "Go to sleep" synthesizer-riffs :) Although, ofcourse, that kind of 'Pizzicato' sound was very common in the 80's, this really sounds a LOT like The KLF's use of it.
I have a 69 (pronounced six-nine, I think heÂs one of the original Detroit techno pioneers, but canÂt remember which one) CD at home and will look for that trak at the weekend. Going a bit off topic... IÂve recently got into the DJ Kicks series and really like what IÂve heard. Trying to trak down the Kruder & Dorfmeister one... WhatÂs the Andrea Parker one like? The K&D one is good, the Andrea Parker is so-so... But that's mainly to blame on the source material used, I think. It starts off with a very nice remix of Depeche Mode (It's No Good), and has some nice tracks in-between, but Andrea Parker's own EP's and LP's are much better. Oh, and please do tell whether you found that track I mentioned of 69: Desire. I would really like to listen to it myself :) Oh, and just for your information, I recently bought a bottle of Isle of Jura 12-yr old whisky. Not because of the whisky, but because it is from Jura (where the Rites of Mu were recorded!). Just wanted to share. Bye now.
