After reading the ideas behind the brooklyn/borrowed love mixes hopefully I can put a few things right. A long long time ago I had a friend who brought round 2 90min cassette tapes and said these have been borrowed from a studio the KLF had been working in. As this person had been known to change the truth I said thanks and sat down to listen, one tape was full of KLF samples bits of current dance tracks and beats, the other was one complete 90min mix which had horse noises and a looped drum beat from a track by I think Generations of love (a boy george project) this also had ORB/KLF samples throughout. The reason I didn't copy the tapes was 99% of it was a complete mess. I badly edited the bits together I liked on a cassette machine and gave the tapes back. Looking back I think these tapes did come from a reliable source and one was studio out-takes and the other was a Jimmy/Alex set from the land of Oz, but this is only a guess. These tracks were then put onto a ORB anthology bootleg a friend of mine was working on, since then it has been bootleged around the world. Sorry everyone looking back perhaps I should have kept those tapes!!!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This electronic message contains information from Getech Limited, which may be privileged and confidential.
