The White Room Script - where did it come from?
Does anybody know where the script of the full White Room movie came from, e.g. who provided the copy? ..::// Thomas Touzimsky "The four building blocks of the universe are fire, water, gravel and vinyl." (Dave Barry)
I got mine from Mike Dutton many years ago, who had reproduced it on orange paper, to prevent anybody making photocopies of it. Shortly after, the text version appeared on the Xmission ftp. I confess it it was me - I got it from Pete Robinson who got it from the KLF. Pete Robinson also gave it to Dirty Dutton and he told me he was pissed off that Dutton was selling copies of it for 5 quid, because he knew that Dutton worked in a printers shop so could have been doing the copies for free and he was making it his mission to give lots more copies out free. I never realised that Dutton was printing his copies on colour so it couldn't be copied. Pete Robinson was like totally in with the KLF - I think they were really pleased that a 12 year old was their biggest fan and biographer so they gave him loads of stuff. It was me that scanned and OCR-ed it and uploaded it to the list and ftp site. That was back when OCR didn't recognise all the characters and you had to go through and check that all the characters were correct. cheers -- Stuart Young, Michelle Ardern & Felix Ardern-Young (4) Live at: 16, Seacombe Road, Pt Chev, Auckland, NZ Phone: +64 (0)9 849 9020 say.map@ihug.co.nz Graphic and Web design, Web development and hosting: http://www.pixelandgrain.co.nz/ Stuey's personal website - a cobweb site: http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~stuey/ Any views expressed in this email are those of the author and not of any of the organisations we are involved with. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Ah, thanks for clearing up all this. Just wanted to be sure that the script came from an official source in the first place. I already thought about printing my own copy, using some font that resembles a typewriter, and a small Pyramid Blaster on the cover. If someone would want his own "typewrited" script, I could try to convert it to a PDF file.

He is never credited by name, but is it also Pete who is mentioned in one of the last chapters of "45"? The bit about 2K and Bill talking about disillusion being the greatest power of them all? And where is he now?

Thanks for that great service. :-) Oh, and we really should exchange articles and scans some day. ..::// Thomas Touzimsky "Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are good is like expecting the bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian." (Dennis Wholey)
If you search Google for "wild highway soundtrack" then the first link that you get is a page about the Herbie soundtrack with the lyrics to "Born to be Wild". We all know that Jimmy is featured on the soundtrack and that Mark once did a cover af "Born to be wild" (did'nt Bill produce it). Funny, don't you think?? Ulrik Brandt
Never trust a journalist. Or for that matter a publicist ("The tools of a publicist's trade are a phone, a fax machine a vast capacity to lie"-Scott Piering). If they give you something it's because they want you to have it, sell it, make it float. If they tell you they got it from Y, think about the possibility they got it from X. Word. There was a paper copy kicking around the Appearing office (which I read over a couple of lunchtimes) so I can verify the electronic version is legit.
