I was in the audience during the filming of the match with Jerry Lawler. I just need to mention that, attention seeker that I am. Carrey remained in character the entire day and would only answer to "Andy". I was also present during the supposed fight between Jim Carrey and Lawler after the filming. IMDb writes that the fight was fabricated - more realistically it was staged for the handful of us still at the arena. They started yelling at each other, Carrey spat at him and Lawler grabbed him by the hair and threw him to the ground. Didn't believe it for a second, given that we're talking Kaufman here.
