instead of whining about "attacks", why don't you just answer the questions posed:
1. do entertainers REALLY "take" your money from you?
2. do you give money to entertainers whose views you can't stand to hear?
3. if so, WHY?
4. do you really not recognize that many people feel the role of the artist IS to speak out?
5. have you ever gotten fired from your job for speaking out?
6. why would you want to work for people that would fire you for stating your opinions?
you want discussion, Dan? there's 6 things for you to discuss right there
Are you really that daft that you couldn't understand his point? That you =
took the term "Take" literally instead of figuratively? Or, as usual, are = you =
just trolling for a fight?
why do you insist on arguing about arguing when, if you really wanted discussion, you could actually discuss the questions posed? "I'm tired of entertainers taking my money" is a completely pejorative statement that attempts to foist all the economic responsibility for the said transaction onto the artist yes, I took it literally - I thought, in REAL DISCUSSIONS, you were SUPPOSED to take people at their word and assume they mean what they are actually saying in YOUR case, "TheMgnt@aol.com", I now know that this is not the case and that you should not necessarily be taken at your word and that you do not always mean what you are actually saying thank you for clearing that up moving on - as far as "discussion" goes, your answer to the first question was a resounding "no", but let's be honest, that was a pretty easy one - not a lot of discussion needed there (as everyone knew the answer to that, yet multiple people keep claiming it is indeed the case) 2 and 3, can we agree that your answer is "yes, because I didn't see it coming" - so I guess two follow-up questions to that would be, "have you stopped giving money to those artists you like whose views you don't like?" and if not, then why not? 4 you didn't touch (or I missed it somewhere), and 5 or 6 weren't even meant for you but I would have no problem discussing them with you if you would've brought them up (my guess is that your answer to the 2 and 3 followups is "no, I just demand that the artist I like read my mind and give some warning that something I don't like is coming")
