Hi all, hope this hasnt been sent to the list before cheers brendan http://www.loopz.co.uk/video6.html Dr Who (Live - Flux Festival - Edinburgh - August 13th 1999) Dr Who (Live at the Flux Festival - 1999) (1m 50s). The one that everyone is talking about. I personally would advise anyone to go and see Orbital to experience this track - video or audio will not do it any justice at all. There are two MPGs that you can choose from. One is 1.7 Meg in size and the other is 4.7 Meg in size. Please note this is not the whole of the track just a sample. UK SITE Highest Quality MPG Live Video (4.7 Meg) - MPG Download Lowest Quality MPG Live Video (1.7 Meg) - MPG http://www.loopz.co.uk/video8.html Cream 2000 - Live and Interview Footage Cream 2000 was special. Bringing in the new year / new century with the sound of Orbital - what more could you ask for. Why everyone was enjoying themselves in the crowd, Paul Hartnoll was quietly worrying about the whole event. There are 2 MPG videos of short interviews with Paul Hartnoll before the massive gig. His worries are clearly shown :) There is also 3 other MPG videos including footage from midnight as shown on Sky One. For some reason they played "Impact" over the "Dr Who" track that was actually playing at the time. Its worth a download just to see the crowd/visuals from this special one-off gig. There is also two good quality MP3s from the Cream 2000 gig - for more details please visit the Audio (Live) pages. UK SITE Download Paul Hartnoll Interview MPG (part 1) (1.4 Meg) - MPG Download Paul Hartnoll Interview MPG (part 2) (1.1 Meg) - MPG Download Before The Gig MPG (0.5 Meg) - MPG Download Orbital Feature (Impact Live) MPG (3.0 Meg) - MPG Download Year 2000 MPG (4.5 Meg) - MPG http://www.loopz.co.uk/livea3.html Cream 2000 - December 31st 1999/ January 1st 2000 Cream 2000 was special. Bringing in the new year / new century with the sound of Orbital - what more could you ask for. Why everyone was enjoying themselves in the crowd, Paul Hartnoll was quietly worrying about the whole event. There are two MP3 samples from the set. One is a sample from "Satan" live and the other is taken from the midnight - from 1999 to 2000 featuring the end of "Dr Who" and the specially remixed "Chime". There is also five video MPGs from the Cream 2000 gig - for more details please visit the Video pages. The Mp3 section has two parts :- Download Satan - Orbital Live Cream 2000 (1m 09s) - Mp3 Download Dr Who/Chime - Orbital Live Cream 2000 (5m 14s) - Mp3
This track is also a hidden extra somewhere on the "Altogether" DVD. Which is FANTASTIC. hm, it's strangely hidden as it's printed right on the case and is in the middle of the cd. i was disappointed by _the altogether_ - the doctor who cover is excellent, but the rest is pretty annoying. the only tracks i liked were dr who, the after it, and the last track. the others are really grating (though i did like "oi!" slightly more after i saw the video). : sig : micah stupak international bright young kook laerm@soulfood.org : quote : everybody needs someone to live by
Sorry, I know its on the CD, I meant its a little harder to find the video on the DVD. Which incidentally I'm watching now. It's not user friendly, but chock to the gills with bonus features. The two videos for "Monorail" can only be played by pressing "6" after highlighting a "?" logo on the "Exit" screen. "Doctor?" can only be played by pressing the enter on the "?" icon. Pressing "Exit" gives you a 24 minute version of "Meltdown". Pressing left at the icon gives you three different videos for "Pay Per View". it's all a bit complex. ahh, okay. makes sense. my girlfriend is a huge orbital fan, so she wants the dvd. i'm pushing for the 808 state dvd. however...
Pressing "Exit" gives you a 24 minute version of "Meltdown".
...this may have sold me on it! this track sounds like it should be at least 7 or so minutes longer on the album - there's that break with a few minutes left, then it goes into new territory, then abruptly ends. a long version of that would be absolutely excellent (much like one of my other favourite orbital songs, "out there somewhere"). : sig : micah stupak international bright young kook laerm@soulfood.org : quote : everybody needs someone to live by
Just wanted you to know that the "Waiting for ... " CD that is currently on eBay is neither the bootleg from Echo Beach nor an official release. "Bootlegged bootleg" ? --- Thomas / KLF Online
