couldn't help noticing (or my inner shoegazer noticed anyway) that website you linked to John mentions Chapterhouse have reformed for a US tour, not sure they have aged well but i practically wore out my copy of "Whirlpool" back in the day
In case you care - I have the Toronto show this Wednesday... they're basically ignoring the lukewarm second album and playing most of the show FROM Whirlpool, which I agree is a bloody gorgeous, near-perfect record. In case you care - this is from the London show late last year (their "warm up" for some UK gigs earlier this year): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFLFJM5-ll0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNPeQGzHgig&feature=related Back to normally scheduled KLF-related discussion...
cheers! hey they aren't bad...i remember seeing a video back in the 90s of them live, i think with some other bands, and i wasn't too impressed, but i guess it was early days in my experience of live music =) hope you enjoy the gig! i also just found out the Telescopes played in my native Bristol a few days ago, and it totally passed me by. Well it's Stephen Lawrie playing with a local band really but judging by the videos on his Myspace, it would've been pretty awesome! ahem yes back to KLF-ness tbc. --- On Mon, 10/4/10, S Arnold <negative8ball@yahoo.com> wrote: From: S Arnold <negative8ball@yahoo.com> Subject: Re: [KLF] Chapterhouse To: "All bound for Mu-Mu Land." <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Monday, October 4, 2010, 3:24 AM --- On Sun, 10/3/10, Simon Glass <tygerbc@yahoo.com> wrote:

well that lukewarm second album DID lead to the fantastic reconstruction by Global Communications - which I always felt seemed like a blueprint of Boards of Canada - however neither entity did anything as good since... On Sun, Oct 3, 2010 at 11:24 PM, S Arnold <negative8ball@yahoo.com> wrote:

LOL! Thought about mentioning the "EP" - but figured if people hadn't heard of it, it might just sound a little name-droppy of me... But, yes, the Pentamerous Metamorphosis is well worth tracking down, and would probably appeal to a number of people here who WOULDN'T be fans of Chapterhouse's original material. --- On Mon, 10/4/10, Jon Whitney <turbid@turbid.com> wrote:
