My grey copy (with no etched cat number) has to be my fave piece of vinyl. Not just because I was born in one of the towns featured. Andy
Jez's comment about IGUN got me wondering - I love it (not least as I'm from 'The North' and Chester was mentioned in it) - what do others on the list think of it?

A favourite of mine, too. Dark, brooding and atmospheric, but not without the classic Jams sense of humour, bunging the wailing noise from 'The Queen and I' at the end. The whole thing's a big piss take, but as always they somehow manage to make it sound brilliant anyway. I used to do a club classics show on student radio in Nottingham, and would always take delight in finishing the programme with IGUN Part 1. The full 12 inch 10 minute version. Back time it perfectly so that the last strains of Jerusalem were dying out as the News Jingle kicked in. (Used to do a similar thing with Orbital's Belfast) My girlfriend at the time was from Rotherham, but she was a Stereophonics fan, so although she appreciated the gesture, I'm not entirely sure she liked the record. Her loss. Lots of people would ask me "what was that Jerusalem record you played and where can I get a copy?" Ah... Del
