We've all heard many remixes and reworks of KLF tracks. But for me there are just too many with a break beat over the top that show next to no creativity and essentially spoil the track. There are some decent ones though. I'm a purist, I tend not to like anything other than the original tracks but every now and then something turns up, often in the player at the bottom of the site, which makes my ears take notice. For me the Kuta and C-Row Remodelled and Remastered selection totally takes the cake. I've not heard anything that comes close to this in terms of quality and raw production talent, that somehow manages to capture the original essence and bring it right up to date. Of course, I'd like to stumble across something that rivals these - anyone got any other good ones?

Hmmm – interesting. Where can a copy of Jez’s Chillout 2 be obtained? I’ve just done a Google search, and found this old thread: http://mailman.xmission.com/lurker/message/20040629.221525.1e58e5ff.en.html In it Jez states that he was responsible for the “3am Coming Down Off E” mix that was discussed (amongst other times) towards the end of last year on this list. I seem to remember saying I thought it wasn’t an original Jimmy production, but I was told that it actually was. Anyone care to clarify one way or the other. And a copy of CO2 would be nice to take a listen to…… I’m trying to compile a nice long list of KLF tracks to listen to on the trip to Spain. In relation to the 'Coming down off E' Claims.. That was not my mix, but it was based around my original ChillOut 2 homage. The DJ Kuta disc is still some of the best KLF related material out there but the cyborcosis mixes are exceptional. yes; I was about to mention them too as highlights - but currently their site seems to be offline. http://www.cyborcosis.org.uk/ Am 02.03.2011 20:02, schrieb Jez Rothwell:

The ODC-1 mixes are very good, too. I chatted to him a couple of years ago online, but haven't spoken to him since. If he's lurking - hope all is well! John On Mon, Feb 28, 2011 at 7:46 AM, Theritesofmu <theritesofmu@aol.com> wrote:

The Britney Joins the JAMs mash-up was pretty good, but I haven't listened to it in year. I prefer cover versions to remixes - Slusnik Luna's version of "Last Train", or that other cover that was called "Vamos" (can't remember the band's name off-hand). Then there was Pill's version of "What Time is Love", which sounded like Daft Punk ... Some good stuff out there - "What Time is Love Storys" volumes 2, 3, 4 and 5 if Bill and Jimmy were so minded!
