Hi everyone, Thanks for all the info, sadly it looks like I've got a fake pressing of this record, as I don't have the 'adrenalin' etch or stamp ! I've amended the ebay listing to this effect, I just thought I'd let you guys know in case anyone was wondering or considering bidding on it...I think it's not a genuine issue... which then asks the question, where did these come from, how many were pressed etc...? I picked mine up from Tim Richards about 9-10 years ago and from someone else who has emailed me it sounds as if they have an identical copy to mine. Could it have been that B&J pressed up the original few and then got short of cash so pressed up a few more elsewhere, or maybe peeps at the pressing plant knocked up a few themselves...it's not uncommon in the history of the KLF ! I can still confirm that all 3 choc-ice promos which are up on ebay listed by me are genuine though and do have the correct run-out groove and do all come with their respective press sheets ! Woah! Sorry, I should have been clearer on the "Adrenalin" bit - I've just checked my copy of 92p3 and it DOESN'T have adrenalin written on it. The key thing to look at is the size of the writing, small and neat (like 92p2) = genuine, large (like eternity23) = reissue. Sorry for the confusion caused. C
Mine has the large font like eternity23. Simon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Peel" <munkie@cloud9ine.com> To: "'All bound for Mu-Mu Land.'" <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2004 10:49 AM Subject: RE: [KLF] KLF 92 promo 3 - acid mix - URGENT!

Not long ago I scanned my Promo3 and sent it to a member on the list who almost certainly has a genuine copy. From comparison, mine would appear to be genuine. I've uploaded the scan here: http://lazycalm0.tripod.com/Promo3.JPG Peter
Just a note, the free site I used doesn't seem to like direct links. So to access it, please copy the URL into your browser's Address line and hit Enter.
Peter Out of interest, what colours are the labels on your copy, and is there anything written on them? Mine has "DEBTX3100" written reversed, which appears to be a label for "Art Science Technology" by A.S.T. on Debut (http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Concert/9201/debut.htm). Just wondered if yours was the same/similar. C
Chris, Labels are plain white without any "reversed" writing visible. Incidentally, my Promo2 has pinkish labels with a reversed copyright warning around the edge barely visible. Peter --- Chris Peel <munkie@cloud9ine.com> wrote:

Hmm - that's the same as mine, which according to the other posts should be a fake - i.e. large font writing. Does anybody have a scan of the small font version? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neff Peter" <pespn2000@yahoo.com> To: "All bound for Mu-Mu Land." <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2004 2:28 PM Subject: Re: [KLF] KLF 92 promo 3 link with matrix scan

Right - I've compared my ETERNITY23 with my 92 PROMO 3 and Peter's photo. Here are my comments (sorry for lack of photos, had to give camcorder back!): 1. Peter's photo does resemble the ETERNITY23 matrix 2. On Peter's photo the '9' in '92' is curly whereas on my copy it's straight (more like a 'q'). 3. The Matrix on Peter's photo is: "KLF-92-PROMO 3-A-1", the matrix on my copy is: "KLF 92 PROMO 3 A1" (with the "1" in "A1" in subscript). 4. There are four large blank spaces in the run-out groove on Peter's photo (counting from the inside out, with the matrix being on space 3), my copy has five spaces, with the matrix on space 3. Given this, the two do seem rather different so either I have a fake or Peter has a fake! I'll try to source a scan of my copy, although it'll be next week now.
Uhh..... mine looks the same as this, thank god I've only paid about 25 pounds for it! my Promo2 seems to be real - I'm hoping that the people that own the originals will provide detailed scans of'em soon so we can all rest in...peace. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neff Peter" <pespn2000@yahoo.com> To: "All bound for Mu-Mu Land." <klf@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2004 4:28 PM Subject: Re: [KLF] KLF 92 promo 3 link with matrix scan
