The choice of Kennedy was completely random, but I think it worked out well. Other images I considered using were that of Bruce Lee, and a midget cowboy. I'm not sure he could be considered completely sane since he got us closer to nuclear war than any other US president. The bullet was an afterthought too. The trajectory of the bullet was intended to match that of the bullet that struck him from behind when he was killed. I did it to see how long it would take, and for fun. In any case, I know Mr.Cauty is capable of much more, so I'm just having a hard time understanding why he would put his name on something like this. Subject: RE: [KLF] new art I like it, with the following comments: 1. The '$1' detracts from the overall style making it look too "cheap" 2. I'd prefer it if the bullet was travelling from either side of the president's head (as opposed to rear-to-front), this would be inkeeping with the 9/11 style where most images are of the plane moving laterally. 3. Why Kennedy? Surely he was one of the less psychotic leaders? Of course, I understand the point that this put together quickly to show how easy such art is to produce - which kind of nullifies my comments! :) ps, Like the "Guns'n'Roses" motif!
