RE: [KLF] KLF - New digital video transfers
I have a copy of the bootleg 'This is not what the KLF is about', it has the TOTP appearances, the Rapido interview, BRITS perfromance and some interview stuff for Channel 4 as well as all the vids (it has two versions of the rites of mu i think). An interesting inclusion also could be the the video for i think it was C&C Music Factory that was done in 1988 and featured the Ford Timelord in and a KLF track being played by the DJ filmed scratching. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Bennett [mailto:christopher_m_bennett@yahoo.com] Sent: 01 February 2002 03:05 To: klf@mailman.xmission.com Subject: RE: [KLF] KLF - New digital video transfers Agreed, however film grain can be cleaned up through a long and tedious process..so..not all hope is lost! Actually the White Room would prove pretty hard to encode without artifacts because the original film is very grainy. Film grain is one of the biggest problems compression needs to overcome.

That's the Mike Dutton video that has been mentioned here recently. The quality of much of the footage is pretty poor (unless you have miraculously found Mike's original tape from which he made all the other copies... but I imagine that that's fairly worn out too...) so it makes sense that if people are going to the effort of putting this stuff on a DVD format, that they should at least try to find better quality footage if possible. If that's not possible then it'll be interesting to see what happens.

I thought it was a Coldcut track? (Or was it Yazz?) Stuart. -- Stuart Bruce - klf@atomiser.demon.co.uk or preferably stuart@atomiser.demon.co.uk The Utah Saints Mailing List http://groups.yahoo.com/group/utahsaints/

Both from what I can remember - I'm sure the pyramid blaster or KLF logo is seen on the turntables in 'Doctorin' The House' by Coldcut featuring Yazz and the Plastic Population. Dunno what the connection was, but it certainly seems likely that the name of this track was the inspiration for The Timelords. Bablos.

iirc almost the same shot is used in "the only way is up" by yazz & the pp as well (which was produced by coldcut, but released as yazz&pp) does "only way is up" feature ford timelord? it's unlikely to be "doctorin' the house" as "doctorin' the tardis" came later jon
Ford Timelord appeared in the Beatmasters 'Whos in the House' video, see: http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~stuey/klf/beatmastersvideo.htm I'm pretty sure that the pyramid blaster logo on a turntable appeared in The Only Way is Up by Yazz, or even the follow up to it, and not Doctoring the House by Coldcut. Doctorin the House came first Doctorin the Tardis came next, a tribute to Coldcut the pyramid blaster appearance came next, a tribute to the Timelords Bablos wrote:
