Hi all, IÂve got some questions concerning something I bought some time ago. ItÂs a French picture disc from 1992 with, in the runout groove, ÂKLF USA4XÂ on one side, and ÂCHOCICE 2Â on the other. As I donÂt have an English version IÂm not able to compare them in detail but from what IÂve seen from images they look the same, the image of the longboat on one side and tammy with temple on the other. The French one is neither mentioned in LazloÂs discography or the new one on klf.de. Could someone shed some light on this issue (also for the discography)? Does anyone have more details concerning this French version? Was it also pressed in limited numbers? What are the differences and similarities between the 2 versions? The french picture disc was available via an ad in the "liberation" french newspaper. You just had to cut a part of the advert, send it by mail, and i think it was only the first 1000 who received the disc. So it has nothing to do with the liberation australian label. seb
Hi all, I have meet the label director of Dance Pool / Sony Music in France some years ago and here is what he said: A first pressing of the picture disc was made for the "Liberation" newspaper (there is a sticker on cover), and a second pressing was made for commercial use. It was 1000+1000 so 2000 copies. In fact there is no "English version" and the 2000 copies are "made in France", which 1000ex with the sticker. It is an old mistake in Lazlo's discography.
