Thanks for the link! Interesting to hear. I don't think we missed out on much with the released product though... Yes, it's Vol6 part 1. It's listed as track number 6 in that mix. I downloaded the Ulf Lohman track to be able to know when Space starts. You can hear Space between 51:13 and 82:26 in the mix. Maarten Bouwes skrev 2013-11-17 09:02:

Ah, yes... Upload-folder is write-only - no download possible from that folder. I did this to ensure that I had some control over what was shared on the FTP, such as avoiding that positive void-stuff is shared. I will move the file so that people can download it. So now we need a decent tracklist. If jimmy deleated all of Alex' contributions, can't we just undo That? Looking at the tracklist of Jimmy and the tracklist of Alex, theres a big difference. Did Jimmy not only deleated Alex' contributions but also renamed the tracks? Verstuurd vanaf mijn iPhone

I have never heard the unreleased version so I don't know what
to expect :)
Me neither! But very interesting. With all "evergrowing pulsating
brain" and "pluto calling over" vocoded talks!
Thanks for this!

And yes, we need tracklist for this new Space.
And here's quick one.. 1. Uranus 0:00 - 6:09 2. Neptune 6:10 - 16:13 3. Jupiter 16:14 - 21:50 4. Mars 21:51 - 27:20 5. Pluto Calling [Twinkle] 27:21 - 31:11 First four are same as in released Space, with lot's of samples added. Pluto Calling is same as in Orbsessions 1, with bit different samples addded. -- anttil.
Most of the samples seems to be from old Cheech & Chong albums, at least from Big Bambu album (1972), Empire Hancock commercial track. Also on Neptune track, there's horse sounds(!) and same child crying as in Mummie Don't. On Mars, there's an unknown incident report on Mars track, similar (but not same) as in Chill Out. ("Approximately 2pm eastern daylight time....the incident occured approximately 85 miles northeast...") This reminds me that there is an entry in discography of Chill out/Space bootleg with Cheech and Chong samples in it. Coincidence? -- anttil. On 18.11.2013 8:53, Antti Lavio wrote:

By the way, this was found from Orb's site: http://www.theorb.com/history/the-story/ "In 1989, [....] recording the Space album in Bottom, Cornwall [Tracks: 'Mercury', 'Venus', 'Mars', 'Donner & Blitz', 'Pluto Calling', 'Sat On Jupiter', 'Nep-Tuned']. Alex also compiled 'What Time Is Love 1' on KLF. " Seems bit different than this and Jimmys Space. It also might be that back then they didn't have finalized names yet. What Time Is Love 1 means WTIL Story, right? Interesting, didn't know that. -- anttil. On 18.11.2013 10:38, Antti Lavio wrote:

I think there was a lot of cross over at the time. Jimmy was part of Orb and just starting KLF. Interestingly I was listening to some old Orb yesterday and Little Fluffy clouds was recorded in 1988 and that first version was very different. I think lots of tracks could have been part of the Original Space project before they decided on the final "planets" running order and went their separate ways. On the other hand: Jimmy had Space. Alex releases the orb's adventures... If they only would have been the orb nowadays... Verstuurd vanaf mijn iPhone

I guess we will never know the true story. unless we get a boxed set one day where Jimmy and Alex reveal all. We had the TK for a while there where they got on again so not an impossibility. Love some of that stuff. Sent from my iPhone On 18 Nov 2013, at 12:27, "Maarten Bouwes" <maarten@bouwes.nl> wrote:
