Isnt't it time to launch a KLF_FTP mailinglist? (which I will not
subscribe)
I appreciate RM's input - guess some don't..
Spare us the histrionics, please. Loaded posts like this, added to misunderstandings, are the way a discussion changes from being a simple suggestion about e-mail posting arrangements, to an argument about FTPs, ingratitude and lack of appreciation, list friendship, bad posting etiquette... It's ridiculous in general, and some of the posts on this subject in the last 48 hours have been ridiculous specifically as well... How can something so small blow out of all proportion so quickly, that's what amazes me. Quite clearly the idea of putting "[FTP]" in the subject line of any post regarding the FTP is the most popular option. So as long as people do that for FTP-related posts from now on, everybody's happy and that can be an end of it. Stuart. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. In keeping with current theories about this list I've prefixed the message appropriately......(sarcasam doesn't work too well in this medium does it????) Anyway....on with the reason for the post..... If anyone is interested in meeting up before the "event" at the Barbican (don't want to call it a gig as it more than likely won't be.....) I'd love to hear from you. Even though I'm in Central London, and live about 10 minutes away from the Barbican I don't know a great deal about bars in the area, so a suggestion as to where, and when to meet would be good. I'm guessing that as it starts at 1930 that 1830ish would be a good time to meet. Thanks Craig

I proposed this the other day - no replies so far but I think a few people are coming along here, I can be there from about 6ish ... ------>8------ There's a pub called the King's Head which is a stone's throw away from the entrance to the Barbican Centre. It's on the corner of Chiswell St and Silk St, see the red marker on this image: http://cow.uk.eu.org/~cow/tmp/map.jpeg I think the event will be in the blue building below the red marker. The entrance is where the [P] parking symbol is, on Silk St. The tunnel between Barbican tube station and the pub is Beech Street, the greyed out road. ------8<------ Please let me know if anyone's planning on turning up to the King's Head, as otherwise I'll stay in my local round the corner until the show starts. Feel free to mail me for directions, travel tips, lifestyle advice, insider dealing tips, Tourettes-inspired insults, TV listings, hotel prices and job offers. Or not. Mencken
My suggestion would then be that the record hunters meet with Stuart at 11am, and we all gather at King's Head around 6pm then. --- Thomas Touzimsky same shit // different day

if memory serves, didn't something similar happen before the last Barbican performance in 1997 ? there was something on the list that blew up out of proportion? coincidence? or synchronisity?? :) :) -- --- jai@illitrate.co.uk -- --- "Do you really think you're going to live forever?" she asked him once. Just wanted to let everyone know that it's my birthday this Friday, and I really regret that I can't make it to London that day! That would have been a great way to celebrate that day: Spending time in rare-record-stores in the middle of London together with other KLF-nerds, then seeing Bill & Jimmy in one event at the same time, then flying back home, tasting some champagne in the plane to remember the day! Ah well, this is what I had planned, but I guess I'm too late now to get a ticket for the Barbican Gig anyway. Do I?
