I asked a question about a Blacksmoke song and I got NO response…..NOTHING from ANYONE!!!
I think it goes without saying that everyone appreciates you keeping the FTP running, and yeah people will expect you to answer specific questions (ie: is it up and running? I can't get in - type of questions) because it's run by you. Other people *do* respond to questions on how to get access, etc. As far as the above quoted statement, but it's possible no one knew the answer. I assume this was in response to your question about Blacksmoke's Open the Gates. I'd never heard of the track and, actually, went to the website to look for it but found no mention of it anywhere. I couldn't answer the question so left it for someone else to answer. Everyone else probably went through the same thought process. You also posted asking for help in getting a video by Finley Quaye. Never heard of him/her/them as well. Not sure how many others on this list have either so I wouldn't be suprised if no one sent along the file. Yeah, it's annoying when you think you're being ignored. i hate it when i post something on some list, looking forward to comments, hoping to get a discussion going, then no one ever replies. But that's the internet and it's (usually :) nothing personal. -paul
NachrichtI know the track is on the FTP-site, but I can't recall that it ever have been mentioned at Blacksmoke.org. Anyone have an idea about where this track came from? By the way: The lyrics can be found at http://www.bartleby.com/108/19/118.html Ulrik Brandt ----- Original Message ----- From: Thomas Touzimsky To: 'All bound for Mu-Mu Land.' I've actually got this video in QuickTime format off the CD single - I'll attempt to up it to the server sometime soon(ish) if you still need it, Rob? BTW, the song "Dice" features Beth Orton on vocals, and mixed by William Orbit - I think the Beth Orton song was originally on an ultra rare Japanese CD called (something like) Superpinkymandy. Oh, and Finley Quaye's new album, "Much More Than Love", is a return to form - very upbeat and recommended - check out www.finleyquaye.com for more info. Shame that "Dice" was never released as a single over here - it would have probably been a hit, if it had been... :-( L8rs, Nick ;-) -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces+nickwking=ntlworld.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces+nickwking=ntlworld.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of TheMgnt@aol.com You also posted asking for help in getting a video by Finley Quaye. Isn't that the one with Beth Orton's cover version of "Don't Wanna Know 'bout Evil" ? Beautiful. :) Really love her voice, got all the standard albums at home (except SPM of course). ..::// Thomas Touzimsky A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?
