Re: [KLF] I´m new / Uptight CD
I must say that I am quite suprised to see that the Disco 2000 CD of "Uptight" is such a rare collector´s item. I got the general impression that the D2000 stuff isn´t very popular. But I admit owning this particular CD. I ordered it in 1992 from a German mail order shop called Disc Center *** Im always pleased when I find something I bought as a lark, or casual indifference turns out to be valuable. There are a few DVDs I've picked up that are now out of print and selling for over $75 now... -paul
I managed to grab a copy of this last week in Amsterdam - only 15 Euros... Since it's a Benelux CD, there are probably more copies lying round in either Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxemburg, so keep your eyes peeled. BTW, the catalogue number is actually DICD 7961, which contradicts Lazlo's discography - does anyone else's have this cat. num?
From Lazlo's discog:
CD5: 1989 EC (INDISC Benelux; CICD7 961) 3:45 Uptight (Everything's Alright) (banana 2000) 4:32 Mr. Hotty Loves You (edit) 4:50 Uptight (Everything's Alright) (discorama mix) 6:20 Mr. Hotty Loves You I think one of the rarest KLF items is the following 12": The KLF: Last Train To Trancentral (live from the lost continent) [22 Apr 1991] single 12": 1991 GE (??; ??) 4:50 Last Train To Trancentral (benio over and out) 6:37 Last Train To Trancentral (benio dub) Does anyone have a copy of this one? l8rs, Nick ;-) I must say that I am quite suprised to see that the Disco 2000 CD of "Uptight" is such a rare collector´s item.
