Hi, By accident I happened to watch a program called Kobra on Swedish Television yesterday. The subject of the evening was Money, which didn't sound interesting at all but I just kept the TV going. After ten minutes or so they started talking about what you would do if you had 15 million swedish crowns (roughly 1 million pounds), and that catched my attention... It all turned into a seven minutes long documentary about KLF, with focus on the money burning, money as art (nailed to the wall) and so on. The documentary contained, in addition to old material showing the money burning, a lot of fresh comments by Bill and Gimpo, specially made for this program. Bill talked about the money burning, why they quit with The KLF, about modern pop music artists and art and more. Gimpo commented the money burning and the following tour. Swedish people can catch the show again on TV, Monday 29/11 at 16.05 or Tuesday 30/11 at 23.20. The rest of you can watch the show at (all interviews are in english of course): http://svt.se/svt/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=20522 Just scroll down to the bottom and click the link "Se hela programmet". Or just use this direct link: http://svt.se/content/1/c6/29/20/80/041125kobra.ram The KLF part begins 9 minutes into the show (the actual documentary starts at 9 min 45 sec). Cheers Par, Sweden
Anyone able to turn all (or just the KLF part) into an MPEG, MOV or similar? I got rid of RealPlayer recently and it's a real pain in the arse to install...

The newly-formed company, Life Without You, allows people to post their goodbye messages to loved ones before they die. And as well as providing the opportunity to write your own eulogy and arrange the guest list for your funeral, you can choose to have your ashes made into a diamond! North Wales managing director Alexandra Gavin said she has had a lot of interest! She said: "The diamond option has been very popular. People like to have something to remember their loved ones by. One diamond, of between 0.25 and one carat, will set you back between £2,250 and £11,950. The service is run through Lifegem UK, which sends the ashes to America where they are blasted in extremely high temperatures under special conditions. The carbon from the ashes is mixed with carbon used in the diamond formation process. The resulting diamond has a yellow tint, which is caused by the nitrogen contained in human ashes which cannot be removed. Alexandra, who lives in Shotton, near Mold, had the idea for the website when one of her close friends died suddenly. The 27-year-old communication studies and law graduate said: "A friend of mine died in February 2003 in a car crash. He was only 27, and it was the first time one of my friend's had died. "It was a real shock. "He had a very good funeral, but I just thought how sad it was that he didn't have chance to say goodbye. It got me thinking how I could help people say goodbye before they die." The website, which only went online two weeks ago, offers a range of services, including writing your own guest list for your funeral. As for the future, Alexandra says: "We hope to speak to the company who are planning to operate the first commercial flights into space - then you could have your ashes scattered in space!"
They're a strange lot in Shotton - it's all that steel dust in the air... ;-)
