both gimpo and i filmed the gig... however as is normal with these things the sound is much distorted (as if you could tell lol) anyway the big chill organisers were the only people allowed to take a feed from the desk to dat... but it was recorded!!! we are in the process of getting a copy of this for the soundtrack to the film we shot those who went to both the big chill and the bristol gig earlier this year will appreciate that each time jimmy performs this set it is very different as he remixes it live imho i think both sets have been outstanding although i do get the feeling the one NOT to miss under any circumstances will be when / if he does a full on techno mix as it really kicks off everytime those sections have cropped up with the audience really going off on one big style VERY VERY JUSTIFIED : ) + ( : ----- Original Message ----- From: Mark Weston To: KLF@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 2:06 PM Subject: [KLF] Jimi at Big Chill Well..has anyone recorded the set........ ***King awesome! Good to see some of you guys there - and even better to hear Jimi playing a live set in a field under the stars. I'm still reeling from it. The friends I persuaded to watch blacksmoke are now all total converts to the church of the klf, having seen one of the most interesting, teasing, and plain ol' bangin' electronic sets of their lives. Cool video too. Keep the Lysergic Flowing, jon P.S "fat as a rat" ;) -- When I was 8 or 9 years old, I aquired a split beaver magazine. You can imagine my disappointment when, upon examination of the photos with a microscope, I found that all I could see was dots.

Daily Post Jul 12 2004 FORMER KLF member Bill Drummond is asking residents in one of the most deprived areas of Liverpool to lend him their kettles. The musician will use them to make an installation. He will be twinning 1,000 photos of kettles in Kensington, Liverpool, with the same number from homes in Kensington, London, to make a statement about Britain's poverty gap. The pictures will form two huge montages which will be displayed in Kensington Community Sports Centre as part of the Liverpool Biennial from September 16. Kensington residents can take their kettles to a community fun day on Saturday at Fairfield Police Club, Prescot Road, from 11am to 4pm.
