Whats the difference between IGUN 88 and IGUN 91. I also read somewhere that IGUN 91 was taken from The Black Room but due to the lack of knowledge of the true contents of the BR i bet this bollocks. Ive found an mp3 on winmx claiming to be a live performance of America No More in Brighton sometime in 92. its the first ive heard of this so does anyone know anything.
The IGUN question is easy to answer. IGUN 88 (actually released in 1990) was a limited edition release on grey vinyl (and some black test-pressing knocking around). As with most of the early (c. 1988-1990) KLF stuff it's not as polished as the final release. The vocals on the 1990 release were provided by Pete Wylie, while Bill did them on the 1991 edit. Also, I think some of the lyrics were slightly altered but I can't confirm that. IGUN 91 was rumoured to be from the JAMs "Black Room" album although, as always, there's so much rumour/speculation/bootlegging that I think only B&J ever really new for sure... -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Martin Bradbury Sent: 30 August 2003 15:31 To: klf@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [KLF] Its Grim Up North Whats the difference between IGUN 88 and IGUN 91. Well, on the German CD-Single and the Indisc 7" Single of the 1991 Version of IGUN is says "TAKEN FROM THE BLACK ROOM". And one KLF Communications info sheet says that IGUN was to be a "suggested" track from the Black Room amongst pearls like "Tachograph Overload", "128 And Rising" and "Jerusalem on the Moors" (which was actually the second part of IGUN). -- COMPUTERBILD 15/03: Premium-e-mail-Dienste im Test -------------------------------------------------- 1.
