I know many of you do not like his stuff because he rips off the KLF, but come on, He has a butt load of albums and Rave people like him. He gives props to the KLF in many of his tracks and some of them are actually very good. I know that he is full of himself, but he did and does what the KLF did. He makes music and samples the hell out of other people's work. I enjoy his stuff as it fun and good driving music. Go Scooter. BTW, his new album is very descent and very KLFish. Behind the Cow (3 Am Mix) is a good track doe the dance floor. He has stepped up where the KLF left off IMO. This ought to start some chatting on this list. I respect your opinion, but aeons ago I typed in a lenghty diatribe against Scooter, if needed, I can send it again...:) My thoughts in short: KLF had a mind and a soul, while Scooter is humourless, all their 30 albums are built upon the same stuff...once they namecheck Public Enemy (We Bring The Noise), next they are KLF-fans...I just don't get it. Dull, humourless, brainless music, a shame. Perfect for a drunken night out, and for "rave nostalgia", but otherwise it's pretty boring and VERY annoying. Rave once meant Happy Mondays, EMF, balearic beat, once PWEI sampled everything, now if I mention the phrase "rave music" in Hungary, everybody says "ooh, me too, I like Scooter too"...aarrghhhh But that's just what I think about them...

I guess it's the intention behind their actions which makes a big difference.
Making money? :) The problem is, with KLF, you could never know what would they do next. With scooter, you heard one song, heard 'em all...crowd roaring, guy shouting, 4/4 beat, more shouting, more crowd noise, and that's it. Dull sample use, no ideology, no guest vocalists... I will change my opinion though, if scooter will make a hiphop record, or an ambient record ON THEIR OWN...:DDDDDD P.s./regarding my rant long ago: John Milne was RIGHT about D. Leary. _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
