RMStringer ========================================== Seek not every quality in one individual: *Confucius* http://www.musicplasma.com/ This thing is rad. Type in any band and it will give you a flow chart of interelated artists. It definitely needs it's database expanded but something like this is super useful and what the net is all about. Also, check this map of the US that will let you zoom in on any Zip code: http://acg.media.mit.edu/people/fry/zipdecode/

wow that is a great idea, but doesn't quite get the relationshipships right in practice its not very good at plotting 'KLF' though, I mean Orbital closer to the KLF than the Orb? no mention of The JAMs, Disco 2000 or Brilliant? actually none of the groups I looked at seemed right, eg. echo and the bunnymen or the teardrop explodes or have a look at 2K for an odd one!!! Now if they had had Kavala artists in between I could have understood Led Zep cheers -- Stuart Young, Michelle Ardern & Felix Ardern-Young (3) Live at: 42B, Sefton Ave, Grey Lynn, Auckland, NZ Phone: +64 (0)9 376 8100 say.map@ihug.co.nz Graphic and Web design, Web development and hosting: http://www.pixelandgrain.co.nz/ Stuey's personal website - a cobweb site: http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~stuey/ Any views expressed in this email are those of the author and not of any of the organisations we are involved with.
I agree it's not ideal. However, I think it's very good at widening people's perspectives rather than as a family tree. A great way to find out what other types of music you might like if you like a certain band. And it's difficult to judge it on The KLF simply because they're one of those almost unclassifiable artists! -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces+dj.nite=virgin.net@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces+dj.nite=virgin.net@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Stuey and Michelle Sent: 08 December 2004 02:40 To: rmstringer1971@comcast.net; All bound for Mu-Mu Land.
