And I also HAD a long hair, if that makes you calm. It has NOTHING to do with idiotism, it's just the 70's coming back, with or without long hair. Loud guitar bands are popping up all around the globe. And they almost look and sound like all the same. The Darkness? I never seen those stage clothes since Mick Jagger put them down in 1979 or so. Just because I think that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Kills, The Raveonettes, White Stripes (and so on) are a little bit boring, it doesn't make me a "fukin idiot". Remember 1991, when Nevermind came out? Half a million loud guitar bands flooded the charts, some of them could write proper songs (Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam an _sometimes_ Nirvana), most of them were copyists (Stone Temple Pilots, Hole, etc.) It's just the same as it once was with rave/rock. After the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays every teenager stole his father's Rickenbacker and formed a band. England and America wants the rock and roll revival, but the only revival was when nobody tried to revive anything, but to bring something new. These bands are a little bit living in the past. So like it or not, it's _almost_ the same. And the original post's tirade was mostly about how they (KOL) look like. So was mine, but I outlined that nowadays You can find a guitar band in every corner, and each of them tries to be more cool and/or more extreme than the other. Discuss.
