Re: Re: [KLF] Curiouser and curiouser...
Is "The White Room" a comment on that old chestnut "Sgt. Pepper", I wonder? Everyone always says the Beatles is album is "like a live concert", when in actually fact there's just a segue between the intro track and "With a Little Help From my Frends", and a similar mix toward the end and "A Day in the Life". The first half of "TWR" is that beautifully orchestrated "Live Concert" (with samples of the Doors and U2's audiences in the same way "Sgt Pepper" sampled the laughter from Peter Cook's comedy crowd) whereas in side two everything falls apart, and it's all odds and sods, and songs which (possibly) go on a bit too long. Just a thought. John

Yeah, the first copy of the White Room I got was the US version. I'd heard the UK one before that. Of course I have most of the versions on MP3 now, but it's nice to get my hands on another CD version. Nice to have Chill Out too, thanks HMV :D

The German version basically has the same tracklisting as the UK one.
It's only the markers between the tracks that differ...
Cheers, Dan
It's the Intercord/Blow Up edition and sounds quite different from my Arista one, or my one with Justified and Ancient tacked on the end.
Sounds like you're more familiar with the US version. The UK version is very different, down to a completely different version of Last Train. I believe it's the version most of us prefer.
