A KLF themed DJ night! (BlackSmoke KoLFaborators)
There is a series of open DJ nights in a rock-dancing-bar called "Elegast Swingcafe" in Deventer, The Netherlands (http://www.elegastswingcafe.nl). So I applied for one of those nights, boldly stating that I'd be only playing KLF, or related, music. Curiously, the owner of the place had no problem at all with this (it is, after all, a rock place!) and immediately booked me for the 30th of June. So, that's the end of this month already, on a thursday! So, if any of your are in the neighbourhood that thursday night, I'll be playing our beloved KLF tracks (but only those tracks that sound remotely like rock, ofcourse) all night (from 22:00 to 02:00)! Entrance is, ofcourse, free. Not only because it is my very first time as a DJ, haha :) Perhaps this is a nice opportunity for some of us KLF mailinglist members to finally meet each other face to face. I just know the owner of the place will be freaked out to see /that/ many KLF nerds together, can you imagine? And finally, do any of you have some tips for me regarding what bands I could play that have some rock-tracks (or just rough-sounding tracks), that are somehow related to KLF? Here's my list so far: - Black Smoke (obviously!) - All Kalevala tracks (Gimpo! Gimpo! M25! yeah, should work) - America: What Time Is Love (and remixes) - Bill Drummond: The Man - Transit Kings (but I only know tracks that are too mellow) - Orb (a huge pulsating brain..., obviously) - Blue Man Group (just because they play KLF at the end of their gigs) - Big in Japan (band that Cauty played in, never heard them though) - Echo and the Bunnymen (should work in that place) - The Jamms (don't take 5, just for some laughs inbetween) - The Rites Of Mu (some short outtakes could set a nice ambience) - Scooter (well, I'm doubting this one really, but the connection is quite obvious) - Edelweiss (always a nice laugh inbetween, right?) Thanks for any tips, and hopefully, I'll see you all there!

Hi! According to the lyrics found in the "This is what the KLF is about" Box it4s simply: "Rockman Rock and King Boy D on the Last Train to Trancentral". Hope, this helps ;-)
Yes, it makes sense indeed, and it sounds like it ! Thanx a lot,
Thomas
