RE: [KLF] The ORB - Mummie Don't, please don't anymore...
First of all I'm still waiting on my copy, so I haven't heard it yet. >From what I understand this album is early material and un\released demos and sessions. Unfortunately for the band many of the demos have already been released on bootlegs like Anthology 1, 2, etc. I can understand how you might feel cheated or ripped off since you already have many Orb demos on your FTP. I on the other hand like this type of thing. It's like the Beatles Anthology CDs that featured demos and unreleased tracks that had been bootlegged for years. Only now they are being released in their best possible quality. On top of that the band will actually see some of the money from the songs. I'm particularly interested in the tracks that might be from Space before the Alex, Jimmy split, as well as the early versions of ABTU songs like Supernova at the End of the Rainbow. On the upside, you can probably sell your CD along with the exclusive badges on eBay without losing too much money at all. Subject: [KLF] The ORB - Mummie Don't, please don't anymore... WOW! what a bunch of recycled crap!! Sounds like it is from one of the chill out sessions. Very uncreative with the KLF chill out samples from "3 a.m. Somewhere Out Of Beaumont" This is what we have been waiting for a few years now?? What a let down. To me this whole album sucks ass. I mean he lost it a few years ago and the best thing that came out of the last album was the hybrid mix of "The Orb - From a distance (hybrid's meadow ladies mix)" I cant believe this crap was put out. Better days gone by, water flowing under the bridge should be their theme song IMHO.
