Re: [KLF] Mastermixers Mashup with KLF
Can anyone tell me which of all these resent rapidshares are the best and/or most bang for your buck? I know they are all free and all good, but which are the actual long mixes or overall popular and "must have" tracks?
i would ask that when groups of tracks are uploaded (ie: the Talla 2XLC) that they be zipped as one download. I doubt many of us will be buying into the service, but when you have 8 links in one email, and four emails arriving at once chances are you will be blocked several times before you can download again. And then not many will have the time to keep downloading all of these. As it is I'm backlogged as far back as the first of the month so at some point I'll probably just give up. I doubt I'm alone on this and so I would hate to have the posters efforts be wasted. -paul
Yeah, that'd be cool! The blocking's a royal pain :) Thanks though, some of the mixes are deadly. John On 6 Mar 2006, at 07:36, TheMgnt@aol.com wrote:

Hi, everyone, With regards to the uploads, I have a series of 20-25 CDRs featuring various KLF rarities, that I've downloaded off the internet over the last three or four years. I like to call these "The Lost Sounds of Mu 3, 4, 5, 6 etc". A long time ago, I also made up CDR singles of the non-CD issues of KLF mixes and singles - so I have "Pure Trance 1", "Pure Trance 2", "Madrugada", "KSTJ Remxes", early JAMMs stuff etc as CD singles. Now, as part of my attempt to declutter, I'm wanting to rip all these CDRs back to mp3 and Apple Lossless format and then ... what? I can hardly sell the CDRs on Ebay (well, I could, probably for a bomb too, but that's not the point). I think I have two options. (1) I sell them through the list or (2) I give them to someone who would be able to keep them upped permanently in a server (I could not). About 40%, I think, were taken from Rob's server in the first place - but a lot aren't, some a mixes made by other members of the list (Chris Peel's stuff is good, especially, and I don't know how much he distributes it), and other various odds and sod. It will be a while before I get around to ripping these CDRs (and, thinking on it, mailing them would probably be very very pricy!) ... but, what do people think? John
Send me a list of the tracks on Pure Trance 1 and 2. I am interested in what you have compiled. I still need lost sound of mu 3 and 4 also. Seal them up in sturdy lead lined hand crafted oak casket... then using julian cope's book on ley lines as a reference find a suitably convenient point of convergance... and on a date specially selected invite four friends to join you at the chosen location and bury the chest... from the depository point take four pictures along the ley lines (with or without your friends in shot - your choice)... over the next few months use photostitch to create a 360 degree image which can be published onto a website where it rotates (clockwise or anti - again your choice) and the mp3 recorded tracks play randomly... relax for a while and take stock of all you have done enjoying such good feelings as you feel you deserve... as time passes a creative itch will develop (do not panic - this is perfectly normal)... use this next period to write a book about a bunch of crazy anarchists who in the year 2021 circumnavigate the M25 for 25 days in a flatbed lorry with a modified saracen tank on the back of it blasting out wild music from an on-board soundsystem and using their pirate radio transmitter to transmit the coded geosat coordinates of the lost sounds of mu... through a combination of doged research and mysterious synchronicities the primate charecters of the book decypher the location and journey to it (enduring a wide variety of adventures on the way)... only to meet up with a great many more of the tribe of crazy anarchists who start an unstoppable free party... Or of course you could just give them to someone else to look after and kick yourself when your data files corrupt (ooo no! that's not worth thinking about) I'll shut up now and go back to designing some more roadsigns Tim ----- Original Message ----- From: John Milne To: All bound for Mu-Mu Land.
