Re: [KLF] Re: "New" Bill Drummond/Wild Swans remix
I tried to order it off Amazon but drew a blank. Ebay seems to be your best bet - and in the UK, second-hand shops. Try the label "Viper" as well. Strangely, I only found one reference to "MBD" being a Bill Drummond remix on this CD - and even then it suggested that it was the "St. Petersburg Remix". The label Renascent (www.renascent.co.uk) recently released a two-CD Wild Swans rarities compilation (with some sleevenotes by Bill Drummond). And hopefully a new one will be planned with b-sides etc soon - maybe even the Drummond remixes. Finally, www.skyray.co.uk, Paul Simpson's site, is issuing a CDR as a limited edition with demos and rarities from the "Spaceflower" sessions in 1989. Again, it's possible some of Drummond's work (alongside producer Ian Broudie) could turn up on that. Of course, the reason why Drummond worked with Simpson was, as he is often quoted as saying, the Wild Swans were his "favourite band ever" (and their debut "Revolutionary Spirit", released on Zoo in 1981, was his favourite single).
