So there's no chance of a Last Train to MacDuff (sorry, couldn't resist)?
No. No last train to bugger all up here, I'm afraid. Even the last BUS leaves Aberdeen at 10.30 PM (even on a Saturday). Oh, sometimes it's a heathen place ... John PS - The "Waiting" thing could be quite good, though - and of course, "waiting" is something all of us associate with public transport!
So, then, how expensive would an airplane ticket be from, say, Glasgow to Aberdeen, and then how much would the bus ticket cost? In other words: What's an approximate of the total costs for a trip from Glasgow to this site? I know BudgetAir is flying from Amsterdam Schiphol to Glasgow already, so that's a start for me... john MILNE wrote:

i'm pretty sure flying from glasgow to aberdeen would be a waste of money .. internal flights in the UK are largely overpriced [with the exception of flights to/from london] .. and you'd probably pay more than your flight from amsterdam! however, a return bus ticket to aberdeen from glasgow would cost in the region of £20/30 .. it'll take around 3/4 hours and the scenery is great. as you say Martijn .. flights to glasgow from amsterdam can be picked up very cheap these days .. this is true of many europena cities i think. if everyone was to meet in aberdeen we could agree a meeting place and charter buses to take people straight to the venue. if we didnt do that .. i'm sure the bus to the venue will cost no more than a few pounds ... so i reckon you're looking at no more than £30 ior £35 pounds for the round trip from glasgow cheers chris -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Martijn Melenhorst Sent: 10 July 2003 23:06 To: All bound for Mu-Mu Land. Boy, would I believe that! I would love to be in Scotland anyway...

Yeah, and then I suggest for all people going from The Netherlands to meet in Amsterdam Schiphol. That would make a weird trip, I'm sure :) Dresscode: White ropes and horns on outr foreheads? Or just a little sign around your neck displaying 'Mu' only?
so i reckon you're looking at no more than £30 ior £35 pounds for the round trip from glasgow
Which is a great price, no probs then :)
