origins of trance
hi peeps, i've been away from this list since i left college (i had been listening to good amount of goa trance since then), and it's comforting to know that it's still going. btw, i'd like to thank those who were involved with the project to, uh, liberate some rare klf tracks. even after a decade, some tunes still got their oomphs. anyway, i chanced upon this thread while browsing the archive. the use of music to help induce trance state of mind has been around since the "ancient" times by various mystics, i think: sufi masters, buddhist and hindu holymen, and i am sure others as well. i doubt they were, however, categorized as "trance" as such in those days... happy holidays to y'all, b-
Hi everybody! During the last few months I got quite a lot of email concerning the pictures of Jimmy's performance. They're ONLINE. Finally! www.dancentral.de Hope you like them. We'll put bigger versions of the pics online at some point in 2003 maybe. And the MP3 of Jimmy's song will be downloadable soon! Watch klf.de for news next year! A very lucky 2003. Daniel --- a.k.a.
