Has anyone heard the new Album?? IT is mostly SHIT. What I have heard it only has 2-3 good tracks. They have gone downhill since their last album.. What a shame.. :-( RMStringer ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - "Crazy that you are, why, /Do you promise yourself to live A long time, you who cannot / count on a single day."
A shame? What shame? I think the new album is amazing! High-energy tracks with lots of influences - just like electronic music it should be in 2004. After all I love the older Prodigy stuff and I really hated Firestarter and Breathe or any other track Keith was on. For me it's the opposite - the new album is (apart from Shoot Down) great all way through but the old, purely mainstream one i.e. Fat Of The Land was pure shit apart from Narayan, Climbatize, Smack my bitch up and maybe Diesel Power. Btw, I always liked the Dub Mix of Baby's Got A Temper... ;-) You should have a listen to the new b-sides, they really kick ass! Even better tracks than on the album... Cheers, Dan --- a.k.a. I partly disagree. "Spitfire" for example has a great start, but gets too repetitive from there on. AONO has some great moments (Girls, Medusa's Path, Phoenix, Under My Wheels and of course The Way It Is), but I still prefer The Fat Of The Land over it. Nothing beats those, eh, beats. I'm a huge prodigy fan... last week I saw them live @ Heineken Music Hall Amsterdam! You can't believe the energy these guys shoot into the crowd with their performance! I agree the new album is different, but every new album from the prodigy is different! After the new album and their live performance... i'm still a follower... When I first heard "Girls" I thought that's a good track. But I also think that it's kinda dated. This kind of sound would be perfect in 1999. But back then the Prodge boys pretended they were the best rock band in the world, so I chose Genaside II instead (from whom the Prodigy stole almost everything, "Firestater" for example). Since then GII never disappointed me. Laim/Prodigy now may have a second wing, but maybe it's too late. At least, "Girls" is a listenable track (unlike "Breathe", "Baby's Got a Temper"). For me the best Prodigy album will be "Experience", I didn't like "Music For..." as much as the first album. The Prodigy may be a world famous techno band, but they would be nothing without the sonic revolutions of Genaside II or Meat Beat Manifesto. AS for the KSTJ relations, well the KLF guys had some sense of humour (see the lyrics, or hear their send-up KLF-version of Kylie tracks).
