Both Black Smoke and Custerd don't have a label yet (or at least that's what they or their management tell). I'd say that Custerd is still more likely to get released than Black Smoke, especially from the label's position. An album by both "The Orb's Ambient Mastermind Dr. Alex Paterson" and "KLF sound seducer Jimmy Cauty" doesn't need too much advertising at all, and with both club and chart compatibility (judging from Boom Bang Bombay only, though) Custerd should be easier to sell than Black Smoke. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't spend some hard earned cash on the F.F.F. EP or the Black Smoke album of course... ;-)

Besides this there is the Copyright issue, which can give BS some small problems (celine dion).

Hasn't exactly stopped them before :o) And there are plenty of artists around now who love a bit of kopyright liberation (Kid 606, V/Vm, Girls On Top...) I hope there'll be a few white labels floating around at some point. And who knows? Stranger samples have been cleared. Del
