Yesterday I received the australian edition of History Of The JAMS, so I can finally compare what I got at home... The mix on the "More Hot House Hits" compilation is almost the same as the one on History, except for the intro (doesn't have the hammond [?] or whatever you call those and jumps right into the heavy piano Bill's vocals) and the outro (earlier fade). Comparing it to the TVT 12", it sounds much like a shorter edit of the "Jams Have A Party" Mix. 4:11 Burn The Beat (jams have a party mix) [TVT 12" among others] 3:49 Burn The Beat (australian 7" mix) [History Of The JAMS] 3:35 Burn The Beat (australian 7" edit) [More Hot House Hits] The TVT edit, despite being longer, also has all the swear words in it, unlike both australian versions (doesn't that make it "Burn The Bastards" then?), ends with the "Shut Up!" sample instead of a fade out and a longer trumpet section. Just for the completeists. :-) ..::// Thomas Cleaning vinyl since 9AM
