KLF food - and ending our collections
In Scotland we eat boiled copies of "The Man" (CRECD014) with potatoes and turnips every 29th April. Japanese import editions, however, should of course be eaten raw. Seriously (if this is possible) I suppose you could eat "Turn Up the Strobe", since all that exists is labels and sleeves (unless the ink is poisonous) - and the same goes for the KLF "Completist" list with JAMSLP2. Maybe the cassette issues could be eaten (the tape rather than the plastic cases), but again the issue of toxicity would be a worry. My girlfriend recent bought a "worm bin" for the back garden, so if we didn't eat the sleeves, they probably could (although they don't like glue). I'm sure turning a KLF collection (today I noticed I have three copies of "Space" LP - promo, original and boot - which maybe I don't need really) into compost would be a pretty Bill/Jimmy thing to do. This brings me on to an idea ... why doesn't everyone on the KLF mailing list pick a date (say 10 years and 23 days from now) when all our then-current KLF collections will be destroyed. Everything. Gone. Up in smoke. And we all "retire", never mention Bill and Jimmy again (by that time they will be so far up their own arses they'll have double vision from the inside anyway) and start getting heavily into Electribe 101 or whatever ... I shall also get my coat. John

Anyway, I was just having a chat with a complete stranger in the toilets at The Foundry (as y'do) when both of us suddenly realised that we'd never eaten a KLF record in any format! I was then inspired to ask whether other KLF list subscribers have any KLF Records-as-food related japes they's care to share with us all.
i understand that KLF010RR is very nice if you grill it with a covering of cheddar cheese, tomatoes, chopped ham and a raw egg add salt and pepper - grill on high for 5 minutes serve with a fruity chilled white wine, or a pint of bitter, as is your preference

hahahhaa - that's a really good idea - and i'd be tempted..... but i always be suspicious that then, after the smoke from the fires had cleared, there'd be an email from you saying "sorry guys, couldn't bring myself to do it - i know, solidarity and all that, but on the plus side, by collection is now worth an absolute _fortune_ being the only copy of any klf stuff left" :) :)

Strangely enough I thought about it back in 1998 when I had two copies of WR (American 2CD version), two copies of LTTT Live, two copies of America/Justified maxi MC and also two copies of America WTIL. But my heart would break, man........even thinking about it...I'd rather sell them or give them away for free...which I did...I have two copies of LTTT MCD, one of them is always with me... Ending collecting?-NO WAY, MAAAAAAAAAAN....:))))))))) _________________________________________________________________ Don't just search. Find. Check out the new MSN Search! http://search.msn.com/
