RE: [KLF] Re: KLF Digest, Vol 22, Issue 16
You're correct. I always get the nailing confused with the burning. "There is no greater joy than soaring high on the wings of your dreams, except maybe the joy of watching a dreamer who has nowhere to land but in the ocean of reality." Despair INC. DONALD D GAGEN MAILTO:DGAGEN@ENSEMBLESTUDIOS.COM ENSEMBLE STUDIOS http://www.ensemblestudios.com I don't believe there was a "legal" fine as such. KLF Communication's bank (Barclays I think) charged them several thousand for the cost of re-printing the million quid they nailed to a board. This is because they took the money back to the bank to be re-deposited. Whereas the million quid they burned never made it's way back to the bank, therefore no reprint, it's gone for good. I don't know what the UK law is regarding defacing/destroying money, but think about this; has anyone been procescuted for using one of those coin stamping machines in tourist spots? Mark H
