Hi all
I've had a poke around the site and sadly it doesn't seem possible to get the file out of the incoming folder (even with a couple of sneaky hacks) so we will have to wait for it to be moved. Once it is, I'll be more than happy to download it and put in on CDR for anyone who wants a copy.
Chris

Sorry, Paul, it seems like the rm link does not work, unfortunately.
Hopefully the files will be moved into the "music" section soon, escpecially since there seems to have some attempt to move them already.
Alternatively, maybe someone (Paul, Chris?) might be nice and want to send a CDR of the interview to me? ;-)
Maybe we could start a distribution tree. I sometimes think this would be easier (and more productive for those without broadband) than ftps.

Hi everyone,
A few days ago I joined a Yahoo Group for the Wild Swans, and was reading a discussion thread about the "St Petersburg" remix of "Melting Blue Delicious" (which was done by Drummond and Balfe in 1990).
According to some of the Group members, Drummond actually remixed two tracks from the Wild Swans album "Space Flower" (the first being "MBD").
Does anyone know what the second track was? Also, "MBD" was meant to be released as a single in 1990 (the cover art can be found at http://www.copefan.co.uk/ in the "Skyray" section) but was never released. I wonder if these two Drummond remixes were going to be the b-sides?
John
PS - The guy who runs the "copefan" site plans to write the history of Zoo Records, and seems to be looking for contributions.
PPS - For those who don't have the Drummond remix of "MBD" it is currently available on the compilation CD "Unearthed Classics Volume 1" - a collection of obscure tracks from Liverpool.

Good to see some of you guys there - and even better to hear Jimi playing a live set in a field under the stars. I'm still reeling from it.
The friends I persuaded to watch blacksmoke are now all total converts to the church of the klf, having seen one of the most interesting, teasing, and plain ol' bangin' electronic sets of their lives. Cool video too.

Has anyone heard from Matthew Heft or is he still on the list? Last time I head from him was about 2 years ago. He used to live in Wisconsin.

The unreleased remix from 1990 was (apparently) the eponymous track from the Wild Swans "Spaceflower" CD.
I believe it was done by Bill Drummond on his own - but has never been released because it was too "out there" for the record company Sire.
A planned release of the "Melting Blue Delicious" single was also canned as a result.
I don't know if this interests anyone - but it does mean there's a BD (but not JC) remix from 1990 somewhere in the unreleased vaults!

I remember when this came out, and ibought it because it used WTIL?, but I didn't like it.
Now I've come back to it - 4? 5? years later I think it's a great mix CD. Good for the car!
Funny because I don't really like 'dance' I always say, but of course I'm here and I had a great time at the Fat Boy Slim thing on the beach the other year, so perhaps I'm just not very good at making up my mind - or am I?
